What is TALK?
TALK is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication Device (AAC) which enables people with Developmental Disabilities like Locked-In Syndrome & Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Speech Impairments like Dysarthria and even Mutes to communicate in normal form of speech.
It is a patent-pending innovative technology which using the variations in person’s breath helps him either to dictate letters, which are further combined and synthesised as sentences, or speak-out specific commands/phrases depending on the mode selected.
Invention TALK has been selected as one of the Top 90 Projects of Google Science Fair 2014. For inventing TALK, Arsh Shah Dilbagi has also been nominated for Scientific American Science in Action Award as well as Google Computer Science Award, reassuring that TALK has ‘Potetial to Make the World more Connected for People with Developemental Disabilities’.
