The video, uploaded to Facebook by Manuel Carrera and later posted on YouTube by a Mexican news outlet, shows a person swimming back to shore as a 10-foot crocodile follows him in the water.
The video reportedly was taken in Sian Ka'an, a wildlife refuge on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
The swimmer makes it back to land before the crocodile makes its way to him, thanks in part to someone throwing an object at the croc from the bridge and distracting it.

In his description on Facebook, Carrera said the crocodile, which is known to live in the area, moved slowly because it's well-fed by people fishing from the bridge where the video was shot.
