Dark Side of “Daniel Radcliffe” Shows in Upcoming Movie “HORNS” Trailer

Directed by Alexandre Aja, based on Joe Hill's book, Horns stars Daniel Radcliffe as Ig Perrish, a man living in the aftermath of his girlfriend Merrin's murder. Everyone thinks he did it, and to add to that, Ig wakes up one day with a set of horns, which give him the ability to draw people's darkest thoughts and desires from them. It's a useful gift to have if you're trying to figure out who murdered your girlfriend, but as you can see in the latest trailer, it's causing quite a bit of chaos — fire and snakes included — in Ig's life.

And it looks like the MPAA has given the film an R rating. It's earned that rating for "sexual content, some graphic nudity, disturbing violence including a sexual assault, language and drug use."

In addition to the new trailer, Yahoo also posted the international poster, which shows Juno Temple and a snake draped over a horned Daniel Radcliffe…

I really like the coloring and style of the poster, particularly the red in Juno Temple's hair and Radcliffe's fiery eyes. There's also sort of a contrast from dark to light between Juno's Merrin, with her fair skin and yellow dress, and Radcliffe's Ig, with his dark clothing, beard stubble and a pretty mean set of horns. Beyond that, there are some great little details, like the rosary beads in Radlcliffe's hand, the snake chilling out over his shoulder, and the sparks from an unseen flame flickering near the bottom.

As the poster indicates, Horns is opening a few days earlier in the U.K. than its presently set U.S. release date of October 31. It's Halloween season either way, which works. If you haven't seen it already, check out the previously released trailer for Horns
