शिव चालीसा (Shiv Chalisa) अर्थात 40 पंक्तियों में शिव जी के लिए की गयी उपासना। हिन्दू मन्यन्ता में भगवान की प्राथना को ही सरल शब्दों में चालीसा कहा गया है। चालीसा का पाठ करने से किसी भी व्यक्ति के जीवन में बहुत ज्यादा प्रभाव पड़ता है। लेकिन क्या आप जानते है इसे चालीसा ही क्यों कहा जाता है ऐसा इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योकि इसमें चालीस लाइन होती है, सरल भाषा में होता है इसे पढ़ना बहुत आसान होता है। शिव चालीसा या अन्य किसी भी चालीसा को पढ़ने में सबसे अच्छी बात ये है। शिव चालीसा के माध्यम से अपने सारे दुखों को भूला कर शिव की अपार कृपा प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। शिव पुराण के अनुसार शिव-शक्ति का संयोग ही परमात्मा है। शिव की जो पराशक्ति है उससे चित् शक्ति प्रकट होती है। चित् शक्ति से आनंद शक्ति का प्रादुर्भाव होता है, आनंद शक्ति से इच्छाशक्ति का उद्भव हुआ है। ऐसे आनंद की अनुभूति दिलाने वाले भगवान भोलेनाथ का हर दिन शिव चालीसा पढ़ने का अलग ही महत्व है।

शिव चालिसा का जाप करने के लाभ
- ऐसा माना जाता है कि शिव चालीसा का जाप करने से प्रेग्नेंट महिलाओं को बहुत फायदा होता है। शिव चालिसा का जाप करने से उनके होने वाले बच्चे की रक्षा और साथ ही सेफ डिलीवरी में हेल्प मिलती है।

सबसे अच्छी बात चालीसा को पढ़ने के लिए किसी खास नियम की जरूरत नहीं होती है। सिर्फ श्रद्धा, स्वच्छता का ध्यान रखकर ही चालीसा का पाठ किया जा सकता है। इसलिए मैं भी हर सोमवार को शिव चालीसा का पाठ करती हूं। चालीसा पढ़ने से ना केवल मुझे शारीरिक बल्कि मानसिक तौर पर भी बहुत अच्छा लगता है। मानना है कि शिव चलीसा के अत्यधिक समर्पण के साथ नियमित रूप से जाप करने के लिए किसी के जीवन की सभी बाधाओं और समस्याओं को दूर करने की शक्ति होती है। वास्तव में, शिव चालिसा का जाप करना सबसे अच्छा तरीका है जिसके द्वारा आप आसानी से भगवान शिव के आशीर्वाद प्राप्त कर सकती हैं।
