In 2012 she debuted in Tamil with the film Mirattal, a remake of the Telugu hit film Dhee, and got accolades for her performance in the film. She immediately went on to sign her first Telugu film Kevvu Keka opposite Allari Naresh. In 2013, she changed her name from Sharmila to Sharmiela. After a long back she made her came back to sandalwood with “MUMTAZ” opposite Dharma keerthiraj (navagraha fame couples) which was a commercial success. In 2017 she started with a new project with cheeranjeevi sarja titled “AAKE” a horrer story adding with shes working in a movie “LEADER”. In January 2014, she was reported to be working on her second Tamil film.
Her roles are not just glamorous; this ambitious actress demands that her roles give her scope to display her considerable acting talents too. She gives great attention to maintaining her body by constant aerobics and workouts, studies each role she is offered, the language she will be asked to deliver.
