With the introduction of smartphones, it appears that everyone carries a camera with them at all times. Individuals are chronicling their lives in more significant numbers than ever before, so it’s no surprise that many people attempt to get the perfect shot.

Not only does good photography evoke memories, but people can use photos for Instagram to tell a story and make others feel like they were there with you. Instagram has become integral in our lives, and because of this, some people will go to extreme measures to get the best photos.

Amateur photographers pose for pictures with dangerous animals, climb mountains, hang off cliffs and even put their lives in danger while trying to get the perfect photo of something spectacular.

Europe Undiscovered

Austria is a well-travelled destination for tourists and is a lovely place to go if you want a picture of a castle. The Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna is a glittering example of architecture that draws people from around the world.

Germany is home to some incredible castles, such as the Castle of Neuschwanstein, which was the inspiration for Disneyland’s Cinderella castle.

Alaska is Not Just for Polar Bears

Alaska is recognized for its breathtaking beauty and numerous national parks that are ideal for photography. Denali National Park, where you can see Mount McKinley, is one of Alaska’s most popular photo spots (also called Denali). With an elevation of 20,310 feet, this mountain is the tallest in North America.

Denali is so stunning you will want to take lots of photos of it. There are convenient pull-over areas where you can park your vehicle and have the perfect view. While the road only covers 54 miles, there are many different spots where you can stop and get a shot.

Other notable mountains in Alaska include the Wrangell Range, located near the town of McCarthy in Wrangell-St Elias National Park. It is one of the most rugged mountain chains in North America and consists of around 60 peaks over 14,000 feet high.

African Adventure

Africa is a continent that offers a wide range of wildlife and stunning scenery. It is one of the most popular destinations for photographers looking to take great shots of African wildlife – but it’s not without its challenges.

One of the best places to see some fantastic creatures, including elephants, black rhinos, giraffes, gazelles and more, is the Nairobi National Park in Kenya.

There are also many other places to see some fantastic creatures, from wild beasts who roam freely on the savannah, to lions and leopards living up in the rainforest trees. There are so many animals to photograph, and Africa has lots of great parks where you can get these great shots.

Visit India

If you’re looking for a country with many colourful temples and beautiful structures, India is the place to go. There are several cities here where you may eat delicious food and see amazing sights.

One of the most exuberant places to see is in Rajasthan – a state in northern India. It is famous for its historical palaces, including the ancient city of Jaipur – which is often called the ‘pink city’ because of the colour of its buildings.

Many other states in India offer fantastic scenery. One example is Kerala, located on the Malabar Coast in southern India. It is famous for its backwaters – long stretches of waterways interspersed with small islands.

Russian Architecture

If you like architecture, Russia has many beautiful cities often overlooked by tourists who visit other European cities such as Paris or Rome. The capital city of Moscow is known for its imposing buildings and landmarks, including the famous St Basil’s Cathedral.

Another popular place to visit is St Petersburg, which contains many impressive buildings of various styles, including Art Nouveau and Neoclassical. It also has some beautiful squares like the Alexander Square – which Carlo Rossi designed.

China Untouched

China has many places that photographers often overlook. Some cities offer spectacular scenery and great places to take photos, which often go unnoticed by people who choose more popular destinations like Beijing or Shanghai.

One example is the city of Dali in Yunnan province – which has beautiful Buddhist monasteries, pagodas and colourful murals.

China has many exquisite places, such as the Yunnan Province, which has gorgeous mountains and waterfalls. Another example is Xi’an, which has many amazing sights, including the Big Goose Pagoda in southern Xi’an.

Other great cities offer unique architecture, such as Harbin. Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang Province and is famous for its stunning architecture.

America Is More than Route 66

You must visit at least one of North America’s national parks when travelling the continent. President Woodrow Wilson, passionate about conserving nature’s beauty, established the National Park Service in 1916.

Yellowstone National Park is one of America’s most well-known national parks and one of the first to be established.

Yellow Stone covers an area of 3,472 kilometres squared and was established to protect its many scenic features like hot springs, geysers and waterfalls.

There are other great national parks in America like Yosemite Valley, which is home to spectacular rock formations like El Capitan. One of America’s great mountain ranges is Yosemite Valley, located in the central Sierra Nevada. With all this, you’ll be spoilt for photographic choice.
