Maryam Zakaria is a Swedish-Iranian actress with Swedish nationality, working in Bollywood and South Indian Cinema.She is best known for her work in Bollywood films such as Agent Vinod (2012 film), and the sex comedy Grand Masti.
In Sweden, Zakaria worked as model, dance teacher, choreographer and established a Bollywood Dance School. The Indisk Dans Studio was the first dance school in Sweden to teach "jhatkas and matkas of Bollywood cinema"

Maryam came to Mumbai in 2009 and got work in the form of ads like Coke, Layz and Set Wet. She began to upload her dance videos on Youtube. Tamil film director Sundar C, saw one of the videos and signed her up to an item number for his film called ‘Nagaram’. Then she did another item song ‘Diyalo Diyalo’ for the film 100% Love. She debuted as an actress in ‘Madatha Kaja’ a Telugu film.
Maryam’s debut item number in a Hindi film was ‘Dilli ki Billi’ for the movie ‘Sadda Adda’. This set the ball rolling for more item numbers and movie projects. One of her most famous item numbers is Dil Mera Muft Ka’ with Kareena Kapoor for ‘Agent Vinod’ in 2011.
